Skating at Morehouse:
The river is now open for skating!
Monday thru Friday—3:00 to 9:30 pm
Saturdays—11:00am to 9:30 pm
Sundays—12:00pm to 9:30 pm
No School Days—11:00am to 9:30pm
Family bonfires are held Saturday evenings at 5:30pm
Skate Rentals—$6 for 2 hours
Cross Country Ski Rentals—10 years of age and under: $10, Adults: $15 (per day)
Boat & Water Safety (Ages 12 - Adult), Saturday, April 2, 8:30 - 11:30am - Students will begin work on the Watercraft Operator’s Permit packet. This allows youth (ages 12-18) to operate jetskis, boats, and other watercraft greater than 25 hp. Minnesota DNR Conservation Officers lead the class and will demonstrate various equipment. A special in-water session will be held at 11:30am. Class participants need to bring a swimsuit and towel. You may also bring your clean life jacket to test. Classroom portion will be held at SeniorPlace Multi-Purpose Room, in-water session held at West Hills Tennis & Fitness Center. The public is welcome to attend the water rescue demonstration at 9:45am. There is no cost for the class, but you must register by March 25th.
3rd Annual Munchkin Market (Youth Booths), Saturday, April 23, 9:00am - 12:00pm - Sellers wanted! (Ages 6-15) Kids, do you have toys you are no longer using? Want to turn those toys into CASH? Rent a table at the Four Seasons Center (West end) to sell some of your old toys, games, books, sporting goods, video games, etc. (no food). Everyone is invited to shop, but only children ages 6-15 can rent space. You must have an adult with you the day of the sale. Mark your own prices on your items and keep the profits! Please keep items at $10 or less. The Rad Zoo, magic show and Tae Kwon Do demonstration will be our entertainment throughout the event! 3rd Annual Bark & Rec, Saturday, April 23, 9:00am - 1:00pm - Treats, groomers, vets, and other doggie stuff…all under one WOOF! Our first event was amazing, and this year it’s bigger and better! A partnership with the Steele County Humane Society, join us for this Bark & Rec event. Bring your pooch with you to check out area vendors! All dogs in attendance must have rabies tags or proof of vaccinations and be on a leash. We will have doggie demonstrations and doggie bags to give away! Don't have a dog? There will be dogs ready for adoption! Vendors with pet products and pet-related businesses are invited to purchase a booth for $25. Reservations will be taken by phone or in person at the Parks & Recreation Office. Bark & Rec Run FUR Fun - Now in its second year we’re adding a fun run to kick off the event. A 5K for pets and their people! More details coming soon! Keep checking the Park & Rec website. Proceeds from Bark & Rec and the Run FUR Fun benefit the Owatonna Park & Rec Youth Scholarship Fund, and the Steele County Humane Society.

The cover photo winner will receive a $25 Owatonna Park and Rec gift card, monthly photo winners will receive a $10 gift card and all winners will receive a free calendar. *By submitting, you agree that you have taken the photo submitted. Submitted photos may be used at the discretion of the Owatonna Parks & Recreation, including and not limited to websites, social media outlets, print and online publications, etc.

Park Pavilion Rentals
Pavilion Rentals are available one year in advance. Call the Parks and Recreation office at 444-4321 or stop by our office to make a reservation. Payment is due at the time of the reservation.
