Squirt Ball

First exposure to the game of baseball and softball, geared for boys and girls.  Squirts is for those entering 1st grade (if they’ve had one year of T-ball), or 2nd grade. Sign up your child for the grade they are currently in.  The program emphasizes skill and social development; scrimmages will be played. 

Cost:  Early Bird Fee: $37,after May 5th - $47

Locations:  Brown, Jaycee, or Manthey/Willow Creek Park Fields

Program Dates: Starts the week of June 6th, ends 1st week in August

Times:  Evening at varied times - 5:30, 6:30 or 7:30pm

Days: T-ball plays Mondays, Squirts plays Tuesdays

Coaches meeting: June 1st at 7:00pm,City Administration Building Lower Level Meeting Room

Volunteer coaches needed!

The Park and Recreation Department utilizes volunteer coaches for many of the youth programs the department offers. Volunteer coaches are a key ingredient in the offering of these youth programs. This includes training in psychology and philosophy of youth sports, first aid, and teaching skill techniques for the various activities. Please call the Park and Recreation office if interested at 507-444-4321. All volunteer coaches must fill out a background chech on a yearly basis.
